Congratulations! You’ve found The Daily Record Press Box.
Our DR sports bloggers will give area sports fans bonus coverage, commentary and photos, while also providing a chance to interject their own comments in response to our blogs. We hope this is a site that allows interaction between our staffers and readers on everything ranging from local high school or rec sports, to the college and pro ranks, and who knows what else. We, of course, promise to keep it clean and avoid personal attacks and will expect the same from readers.
Without further adieu, let me introduce you to our Daily Record Press Box bloggers. From left to right in the below picture and masthead at the top we have yours truly, sports editor Aaron Dorksen; sports part-timer and always opinionated Josh McWilliams; always perky and ready to work hard sports writer Christy Johnson; sports secretary and also quick to offer her opinions Kim Bayer; and gruff but lovable veteran sports writer Mike Plant.

About Aaron Dorksen: Aaron Dorksen has been Sports Editor of The Daily Record since 2000 and has been with the paper since 1997. He lives in Wooster with his wife, Angela, and their son, Arch, who was born in November of 2010. A graduate of Chardon High School and Bowling Green State University, Dorksen has won numerous state and national Associated Press writing awards, including being named an Ohio AP Sports Writer of the Year.
